The Southeast Valley Tobacco Use Prevention Coalition works hard to develop community resiliency skills by providing activities for youth after school and during intersession vacations. Interactive programs have been created with the cooperation of the Chandler-Gilbert YMCA, the Parks and Recreation Departments of Chandler, Gilbert and Queen Creek, Queen Creek Public Schools, and the Boys And Girls Club of the East Valley. Programs are designed to improve self-esteem, increase knowledge about tobacco, develop leadership skills, and develop conflict resolution/resistance skills. |
